Ingredients:
2 8 oz cans water chestnuts
1 lb bacon, cut in half
3 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. smoked paprika
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Lay a water chestnut on top of a piece of bacon; wrap to enclose, securing with a toothpick.
- Transfer to a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, paprika, cumin, and garlic powder.
- Brush wrapped water chestnuts all over with maple mixture.
- Bake until bacon is crisp and golden, about 20 minutes.
